Tutor Biography
Gerald Dawe's seven collections are published by The Gallery Press including most recently, Lake Geneva (2003) and Points West (2008). His Selected Poems will be published by The Gallery Press in 2012. He has also published several collections of essays and edited numerous anthologies of poetry and literary criticism. He is a Fellow of Trinity College Dublin and Director of the Oscar Wilde Centre, School of English at Trinity. He lives in Dun Laoghaire and has given readings and lectures in various parts of the world.
Course Theme
This master class is dedicated to those who are seriously interested in developing their writing and reading of poetry. Participants in the workshop sessions will read and discuss their poems under the guidance and direction of Gerald Dawe who will also advise on sugested reading, presentation and publication. This is a rare opportunity to work with the distinguished poet who is also director of the internationally recognised graduate writing programme based in the Oscar Wilde Centre, School of English, Trinity College Dublin.
Conditions
Places are limited to 15 per workshop.
Admission will be by selection based on submitted work. Submissions are now being accepted.
You should submit samples of your work, 3 or more poems, by July 15th. Complete the downloadable pdf Application Form, attach it to your sample and send it to:

Sorry, we will not be able to return your submissions to you. Workshop refunds will not be permitted after the 19th August 2011.
