Following a sell out run on the Peacock stage at the Abbey Theatre and a recent appearance at the Lincoln Centre as part of Imagine Ireland, Mountains to Sea is delighted to welcome Whole World Round to Dun Laoghaire. In this unique evening Philip King talks to Joseph O'Connor and explores the influence of Irish-American ballads in his recent fiction. Look forward to lots of chat, readings, reflections, rhymings, some songs and an insight or two along the way.
Joseph O'Connor is renowned for his best-selling novels Star of the Sea, Redemption Falls and Ghost Light.  In his weekly radio column, he provides fascinating and entertaining commentaries on the state of Ireland today. He is truly the people's poet, shining an unsparing light on the travails of our time.
Musician, filmmaker and broadcaster Philip King has been at the heart of some of the most exciting music and film projects in recent years. His much-loved programme The South Wind Blows broadcasts weekly on RTÉ Radio 1.
