RTÉ Radio 1’s Sunday Miscellany Live

For over 40 years radio listeners have woken up on a Sunday morning
to the beautiful, the personal, the autobiographical, the educational
and the who knows what brand new contributions from a wonderful
variety of voices punctuated with a piece of apt music. It is truly a
unique mix of words and music. Today Sunday Miscellany is one of
the most popular radio programmes in Ireland with over 240,000
people listening each week. Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council
is delighted that Sunday Miscellany will be hosting the programme
at the Mountains to Sea Festival. The event will feature a host of
writers with live music accompanying each contributor’s piece.

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is delighted that Sunday Miscellany will be hosting the programme at the Mountains to Sea Festival. The event will feature a host of writers with live music accompanying each contributor’s piece.  The line-up has been announced as follows: Mary Morrissy, John Boland, Leo Cullen, Pat Boran, Bernard Farrell, Colm Mac Con Iomaire of the Frames, Bert Wright and friends, with musicians Catherine Limoni  (piano), Moya O’Grady (cello), David O’Doherty( violin) and Geraldine O’Doherty( harp).

The event will be introduced by Clíodhna Ní Anluain, producer of Sunday Miscellany, and will be broadcast in the weeks following the event.
